Chrud
Re: Should the inmates kill Scott? [ QUOTE ] Scott Petterson got a death sentence when they found him guilty. Who will carry it out the state or the inmates? Frankly I don't care. If it's the inmates it will be much slower and painfull and probibly will save the state hudreds of thousands of dollars in housing and lawers fees. Is that such a bad thing? [/ QUOTE ] I would probably end up saving millions. I for one hope he gets bashed over the head with a lunch tray.
wtnhunt
Re: Should the inmates kill Scott? Can kind of see your point if an innocent man was convicted and got murdered it would no doubt be wrong. Bet it has in fact happened many times in our prisons. Really think though that the justice system needs to speed things up. In petersens case and others too for that matter, they really need to expedite any appeals processes and get it over with so he is not a long time burden to the taxpayers. carbonhunter
Re: Should the inmates kill Scott? i agree with adkhunter and you william, but i dont think this should be a discussion at all, for justice to work at all we have to let the system take its course and no way should we go looking for vigilanty justice, burden or no burden the system is one we have put in place and is one we need to stand behind no matter how long it takes. If one condones prison murders than linch mobs arnt far behind
billygoat
Re: Should the inmates kill Scott? Um... Aaron... I'm all in favor of the linch mob (lol) Chai Vang... had that been my father or sister... Oh indeed... I agree that we have to put faith in our "justice" system... but we cannot be ignorant or foolish... it is time to recognize that our justice system is failing us... it is costing us billions of dollars and we are not curving the crime rate... The whole system needs to be reevaluated.
