unioncountyslayer
Of you hold your bow while sitting on stand, and how many hang it on some sort of hanger screwed into the tree? For me, 90% of the time I hold mine because I don't have much time to react because the areas I bowhunt in is so thick. Only time I hang it is when I can see the deer coming in from a pretty good ways out. Just curious what everyone else did. -union
nhbowhunter
Re: How Many? I sit on stand all day. I alternate between holding my bow and using a bow holder. I do not screw anything into the tree.

WisconsinArcher
Re: How Many? Usually in a hanger/holder...until its that last magic hour when the deer come. Ah, the feel of that cold chill in the air when the sun dropps below the treeline. Only a few days left.

ladydiehard
Re: How Many? I use a hanger. Only once did I leave my bow in my lap and I ended up dropping it! Now it stays on the hanger unless deer are coming.

KyBucks
Re: How Many? I'd say I hold mine 95% of the time. I just don't want one sneaking up on me and then bust me when I reach for my bow. I wouldn't mind hanging it if it was in a area that I could see the deer coming from a pretty good distance, but I just don't have that advantage right now, especially with all the leaves still on. Jeramie
Re: How Many? I hold mine too, most of the time. I too am surrounded by Oaks, heavily. You dont have much time to react. There is really only a few spots I dont hold my bow and like you said, you can see them comming for a long distance.
