Turkeygirl
Ok, I know I want a TruBall Cyclone release and the one I tried had a velcro strap and felt great, but I've heard alot of other people use the buckle because it is quieter and more consistend? What are your opinions? I'm trying to decide whether to for the velcro wrist strap or get the buckle strap? My main concern is, is the buckle on a Truball as comfortable as the velcro one is and does the buckle go small enough if need be? The velcro is nice because it is very adjustable but of course the concern for being noisy and the velcro eventually wearing out. What do you think? Guest lucky31563
Re: Velcro vs. Buckle?? well i think you have to with what feel good to you but the buckle is better to me because it is quieter and will last longer but that my opinions
LifeNRA
Re: Velcro vs. Buckle?? I have the velcro, to me it feels better, but it is noisey. But once I strap it on, I dont take it off until I am ready to climb down. The whole thing moves out of the way when not in use.

WvBowhunterKE
Re: Velcro vs. Buckle?? i use a hurricane with a velcro buckle and it is holding up fine...just be sure to ocassionally tighten the allen heads in the head of the release...a slip could be VERY painful. ruttinbuc
Re: Velcro vs. Buckle?? I have had Velcro make noise at the wrong time whether it be on a release or a jacket, coat, pants, etc.! I hate the stuff. Worst thing to enter the hunting world, ever! Well, one of them anyway. I have a little goose release with a buckle. I love it.

AdvantageTimberLou
Re: Velcro vs. Buckle?? I have velcro, noisey but like some have said its on until the end of the hunt and my release can tuck under my long sleeve shirt collar and its out of the way when not needed. GWSmith
Re: Velcro vs. Buckle?? Velcro for me....Once it's adjusted around varying layers of clothing, gloves, etc... on my wrist it does not make any noise.

Well, one of them anyway. [/ QUOTE ] I agree. Those of you who have never had a problem with velcro, let me assure you. Hunt long enough with it, and you will. Please note, buckles are also more repeatable. Strap the release on and use the same hole everytime. This helps your shooting be more consistent because your anchor is more consistent. Turkeygirl
Re: Velcro vs. Buckle?? So should I go with the buckle instead of velcro? Does the buckle strap on TruBalls padded well. I don't want it to be rubbing into my wrist.
nhbowhunter
Re: Velcro vs. Buckle?? buckles are not as noisey for sure. All teh rest though I chalk up to personal preference. I have shot with both and I have not found consistency or accuracy gains/losses between the two. It is more imporntat to stick with one that works for you.
