My Remington 700 project

I finally figured out why I was having trouble loading pics (files too large). So here it is.

I have had this rifle for a number of years and finally decided to do something with it. I put a boyds thumbhole stock on it and also had the trigger lightened to about 2.25 lbs. It doesn't sound like a lot but it took all summer to get the stock. I ordered it on may 18th and it finally got to the house the 1st week of August. The trigger started out pretty good with no creep or overtravel but had about 6.5 lbs of pull. Next summer I plan to put a new scope on it. Not sure what just yet something in the $300 range. I would also like to have the bolt rejeweled and a tacticle knob installed. Anyways enough yapping heres the pic.

Re: My Remington 700 project

Oh ya sorry, I was also steel bedded and the barrel fully floated. and it is still the factory trigger.

I took it out once since I got it back from the gunsmith and put two shots through it to see if see was anywhere close to where it should be. Nope. With the sweet rolling down my face and getting into my eyes I figured my time at the farm was better spent fishing.

When it cools down I'll sight it in. I'm also anxious to use the new shooting table I built. I'll keep you posted.
