str8shooter48
I see Winchester has a primer listed as a WML209 "Ideal for muzzleloaders". It doesn't say anywhere about being reduced charged or improved for muzzleloaders just the designation above. Sounds like the same old Win 209 shotgun primer in a new package. Seems to me to be marketing ploy by Winchester to get you to pay $4.00 for a $2.00 box of primer. If I'm wrong let me know. But it sure sounds like marketing Bull S**t to me. VTbowman
Re: Winchester muzzleloader primers??? Not sure but I would guess your right. Unless it is made with different amounts or substances then they are just trying to take a standard item and sell it as a specialty item. JimT
Re: Winchester muzzleloader primers??? I use them...No problems with them at all. not sure if they are the same as the others though. Probably are.
ScottyLuck
Re: Winchester muzzleloader primers??? I asked this question last year. They're the same primer. The kicker is around here they're more expensive than the 209 primers not marked for ML. Unbelievable! Get the reg Win 209's if they're cheaper. They are the same. paul23
Re: Winchester muzzleloader primers??? I'm guessing on this one but I know not all primers are waterproof. Some have like a clear schalack (clear paint kinda) that keeps water out. I use the Win. primers as well. I've never looked at the normal ones to see thou.
