Guest BowHunter2020
I went out and sat out in my stand in August and watched a lot of deer come out into my field most came into shooting range, but my dilema is when i need to get out of my stand, the deer are all still in the field and the way back to the truck is on the edge of the corn.My truck is about 150 yards directly north of my stand where the small field is between me and my truck. How do i exit withought spooking any deer?????????

mossyhorn
Re: Bow Hunting Dilema Sound like you might have to take the long way around. Or just walk slow and calm. You might spook the deer but as long as you dont put any pressure on them I dont see why they would come back. Of course I wouldn't make a habbit of walking past them either. Once or twice IMO shouldn't send them running off never to be seen again.

BowJoe
Re: Bow Hunting Dilema Put out a game cam and stay the heck out of the area when the deer are there. Makes sense and you can see what all you have there.
Tony
Re: Bow Hunting Dilema constantly walking out past deer feeding in the field will spook them and it will do the same when your going in during the morning to hunt. you must find another way to your stand. even if you have to walk the long way out or in to not spook them. or else wait them out while on stand or dont hunt that stand much... hoytguy08
Re: Bow Hunting Dilema if it's possible get someone else to pick you up by driving across the field to your stand, the deer will run off but they won't see it as hunting pressure and will continue to come to the field
6sixpoint_nobrows
Re: Bow Hunting Dilema [ QUOTE ] if it's possible get someone else to pick you up by driving across the field to your stand, the deer will run off but they won't see it as hunting pressure and will continue to come to the field [/ QUOTE ] i dont know about that personally...deer dont want to be seen....constatnyl driving back into the field with spook them as well...i know this because a land owner i hunt off of always drives his truck back to one of these fields that always holds deer and the first couple times there would always be deer after that they stopped coming to that field....After about a month of him not going back in there they started coming back....slowly but surely...I would move my stand that way i could have an easy escape route and not be detected...Good Luck to you!
