slughunter
What Are your thoughts on it, in not looking to call in a giant but will it help me to get any size buck to come in that I could shoot as a first archery buck. The farm I am hunting holds lots of bucks and I am hunting on the edge of a 90 acre sanctuary. My season starts saturday and am not sure if I should give it a try. I dont want to do it if it will possible scare animals away. any input is wanted. thanks again. -shane
ruttinbuc
Re: Early Season Rattleing? Tickling of the horns has been known to bring in a curious buck or two in the early season. Lightly bring the antlers together or roll the rattle bag in your fingers. You don't want to sound like an all out fight, but like a couple of bucks sparring a little bit before they grow to hate each other! Using a buck scent will help this scenario some as well! Hope this helps! Good Luck!
