hunter...what is it you want.....some cams have film some have memory cards.....i have no problem with my cheaper cams with the film...and the cams did'nt cost much if i were you..i'd go with a cheaper cam and work your way up.....Try the Stealth cams...just add batteries and film...Honkers44

Re: cam cameras

do you want a cam for a feeder or trail, i have a moultrie and it is great if the deer is there for a while but if something briskly walks past it the camera doesn't take a pic., as far as TRAIL cameras go i have two 35mm stealth cams that don't miss a thing, but i have heard the new bushnell trail sentry(digital) is good for trail use also. hope that helps

Re: cam cameras

Leaf rivers for the money are great cameras, have been very happy with my leaf river digital. Check with KTMMIKE, he can get you a good deal on a leaf river, they are considerably cheaper now than they were when I bought mine from cabelas. Personally after building my first homebrew digital, I wont be buying any commercial cams ever again. Too easy to build a better cam for less money.

Re: cam cameras

Just put out the $100 Moultrie 2.1 digital I got from Walmart the other day and got 113 pics in 3 days where two trails meet.

The key is to not be 90* to the trail but instread face it up or down the trail a bit where deer will be in the sensors for a second or tow longer.

It has 2 sensor triggers to prevent false triggered pics.

I suggest going with a digital too.

I went the cheap stealth cam way and found that it eats film and batteries at an alraming rate. Cheaper in the long run to go digi. IMO.
