I guess the huge house his family was living in was being paid for my an agent. All that talk really died down fast. I wonder if they'll take his Heismann?? It sounded like the house they were living in was not only be paid for by an agent, it was OWNED by the agent, his very own house...... That bad thing is not really much can happen to him but the NCAA will probably go after USC even if they didn't know. They'll just say they should have. If you think about it, he's the biggest rookie to hit the NFL, and USC being a Title contender every year is probably the best thing to happen to NCAA Football ever, considering that list of power Alumni and the school's location. There was a lot of $$ and influence behind this kid. I know this stuff happens all over, but I bet 100 Grand has to be one of the worse cases. Heck, Troy Smith only got like $500 or something. [/ QUOTE ] yup, they can....if this turns out to be true (and this is just what i seen on the sports ticker on espn during the west virginia game last night) then he will lose his NCAA eligibility (basically erase is existence from the team) and will lose his heisman trophy. I would be shocked if it went that far...I mean really shocked. When you are someone like Reggie Bush, you get away with stuff like this. Let's just say they were seldom if never in class!! Athletics are huge money makers in college, the NCAA makes a ton off from their sports program. I know when I went to college I carried 12 to 17 credits and I don't see where I had time for football or basketball practice and still get great grades!! I know a couple people that play for major college football programs, and I have another who was a statistician for one. I'm not naming names or schools but you can probably guess from my location what schools I might be talking about. I know for a fact these particular college players are getting benefits, getting it much easier in school, getting paid...etc. And these are 3rd string guys that wont ever make the field, imagine what that big shots are getting.
