Wal-Mart is doing away with lay-away. I didn't use it but the wife sure did, especially around Christmas, which it was handy. I don't know if it is a blessing or a disaster. Now she will either not buy it, or buy it. confused.gif

Re: Wal-Mart

Is there a Wal-Mart credit card?

I bet this is related. Why let someone put something on lay-away when you can just have them charge it with their new Wal-Mart credit account at a 22% APR?

YES there is a wal-mart card. Which I am sure that is why they are getting rid of their layaway.

I have no clue with the interest rate is but Im sure they will make a ton more money off the Credit Card vs their law away fees.
