Guest Andrea
Re: Bad weather There's been MANY MANY times I have sat in a treestand in rain, wind and cold. As long as it's not lightning or the wind isn't howling at 50 mph............I think you should be fine. Never know when that monster buck is gonna show himself!! He may think all the hunters are at home and decide to come on out in the bad weather!!!!
wtnhunt
Re: Bad weather I usually dont hunt windy cold heavy rainy weather as much as I would right before or right after those types of conditions.
KyBucks
Re: Bad weather I don't mind hunting in a light to moderate rain , but If it's pretty windy I'll just stay at home or do some extra scouting.......It ain't no fun in a stand when the wind is howling!!! arrow32
Re: Bad weather I will as long as the winds not blowing so hard it pushes me out of the stand or feels like its going to.

ODH
Re: Bad weather I will hunt off the ground on windy days normally. You get a wild ride when your up in your tree stand when the wind is gusting.
Tom2008
Re: Bad weather After this weekend I would have to say no. It was overcast all weekend with dark clouds. The wind was just insane and deer don't like it when it is too windy I have found out. Plus a little rain on top of that.

superguide
Re: Bad weather Maybe you better let me use that stand in the nice weather and I'll let you know if it's ok in the rain. Seriously though if you can stick it out it's worth it-you have zero chance of getting a deer if your sitting in the house. The night before this crap moved in would of been pretty good I'm thinking Ty got within 40 yards of a 150 but didn't take a shot.
