huntinsonovagun
I have a Buck Gardner squirrel call....never called up anything with it!!! You tap the end (came with a tape) "tap-tap, tap-tap-tap.......tap-tap, tap-tap-tap-tap" Talk about annoying!! Also you can blow in the end to get a whistling sound. I think mine is worthless! But I haven't tried it in a few years....maybe I should take it bowhunting someday soon.............
Jeramie
Re: Squirrel Call Yep, I hunt with them a lot! They work great if you're "still" hunting. If you set up and they aren't moving early hit it for a minute and they will come out. It works really well to bring them out early. After that, when you shoot a squirrel let it lay. Mark the spot to pic it up later. Give it about 5 minutes and hit the call again. The poor critters cant help it. They will flood the branches again. Especially around this time of year, they are chasing each other so the calls are hot!
lil hunter
Re: Squirrel Call It's possible, but you better be a good shot. And make sure it's legal in your area.
Randyman
Re: Squirrel Call Another good use i've found for a Squirrel call is to use it to get them to show themselves after they have busted you and start their little hide and go seek game they like to play. I use one when i am still hunting, and it seems to calm them down quickly after they have spotted you.
