boomer Posted September 17, 2006 Report Share Posted September 17, 2006 Went out tonight didn't know if it would be any good since the temp was 92 and in a tornado watch. Set up in a chair next to a fallen tree. I had a fawn come a close as 3yrds. It stayed within 20yrds for an hour or so. Right before dark had a doe and buck come within 10yrds. When I went to draw back the doe busted me running about 20yrds away a stopped and stared at me. The buck got closer within 7yrds but he was looking at my buddy that was 5yrds behind me after the doe moved I got pulled back. The buck only went 50yrds. This was my 2nd deer with a bow both have been off the ground. My buddy talked me into trying deer hunting last year with a week left in the season.
