mossyhorn
This is my uncles land that I have hunted a few time but without success. After reading the article about going in deep I decided to give it another try. But this time on the other side of the hollow. The side nobody hunts. I have took a walk on it today and seen some tracks. Only a few buck tracks. But the land looks great. Take a look and tell me what you think. red= dads house blue= pond yellow=four wheeler trails green=garden w/ dog tied up in it white= uncles land [image][/image]

Guest tunkhannockbowhunter
Re: new hunting land it looks to me like you have a few ridges on your uncles land, are there any oak trees on the ridges?, if so i would recommend that as an excellent spot for october. i focus most of my october hunts on ridges with acorns. only in the morning tho because mature bucks might be beddin up there for the day. i have tagged two bucks hunting the ridge on my land during october. ridges could be good spots anytime of the year but especially when the acorns are fallin. best of luck to you
