Guest ptruga
I am taking my son on a spring 2007 merriam hunt. Can anyone recommend an top notch outfitter? This trip is a high school graduation gift so I am willing to spent a little extra for the best hunting experience. Thanks.
Strut10
Re: Merriams Welcome to the forums!! Stick around. I believe you'll find us a likeable bunch. I can round you up some info for an outfitter in Wyoming. A whole bunch of our team members (from the call company I'm on staff for) have gone with these people. They always do FANTASTIC!!! I should be talking with the "man in-the-know" within the next couple days. Stay tuned.
huntn4bucks
Re: Merriams Welcome to the forums. I hunted Merriams in Northern Nebraska last season. The outfitter I used had plenty turkeys but I wouldn't consider them "top-notch". If you just wanted to go and kill a turkey, they would be the outfitter of choice. If you want the whole experience like I think you're looking for, I wouldn't go with them. I won't mention any names on an open forum but PM me and I can give you more info. Guest ptruga
Re: Merriams Any info would be helpful. Have you heard of Grand Slam Hunts - Tim Herald out of Nebraska?

wyohunter
Re: Merriams they can be found easily on public land , check into the black hills area in wyoming, a do it yourself hunt is very doable there
Guest Colorado Bob
Re: Merriams Lots of birds on public land here in SW Colorado also----tags are OTC. If you are a turkey hunter--you can do it yourself----that's the most fun. CB

jbeck
Re: Merriams I know some private land we have leased in South Dakota, you might be able to take him there. This wouldn't be a guieded hunt, only trespass fee. If you need more info, let me know. Good luck
