2006 NR Deer Archery 10/26/2006 to 12/31/2006

Required for all nonresidents who hunt deer with archery equipment during archery season. Nonresident deer hunters are exempt from the annual nonresident hunting license. Permit valid for one either sex deer. (A NONRESIDENT COMBINED DEER ARCHERY PERMIT may be purchased to hunt and harvest 1 antlered and 1 antlerless deer.)

Going by this, Non residents only have to buy the tag and the Fishing and Hunting Legacy Permit. The $137 NR Hunting license is only for small game, pheasant, and turkey. Missouri Hunter shouldn't have to buy it to hunt only deer.

Re: Oklahoma Bow Camp

You're right, 3w.

I just went to the OWDC's website and looked up hunting license. It made sense to find the nonresident hunting license and tags?

I'm finding more and more that the ODWC is almost as confused as we are...grin.gif

So it looks like you can spend 256 dollars and harvest both a buck and a doe on public or private land.

Re: Oklahoma Bow Camp

From the way I read it, missouri. You can pay just 206 and get one tag that is either sex. But for 50 dollars more you can get one antlered tag and one antlerless tag.

The ODWC is vague on the tag that is for 201 so it may be that you have to specify sex before purchase.

I'll call them and verify for ya.

Re: Oklahoma Bow Camp

Just got off the phone with the ODWC and the Nonresident Deer Archery for $201 is for either sex. For $50 more you can shoot both a buck and a doe only, you can't shoot two bucks or two does. It has to be one of each.

So you can pay $206 and shoot the first deer that walks by...grin.gif
