well yesterday and earlier today i was shooting feild points at 20 yds and they seem to be shooting well then i decided to sight in my broadheads that i will be using for hunting but thay are not shooting well at all. the arrows i have are carbon express terminator hunters fletched with blazers and topped of with muzzy 4 blade 100gr. heads what is my problem i just cant get them into 3in circles on my target. do you think its the arrows i bought from wally world or the broadheads. and its not like they are consistantly shooting low or shooting high, some will be low, high, left, or right they are just all over the place. either way i need some help thanxs guys.

Re: field points shoot good, broadheads not

you just need to tune your bow with your broadheads, I had trouble with Muzzy's myself and switched to G5's and didn't have to tune a thing but some bows need to be tuned to match their broadheads.

Try tuning your bow using your broadheads, spin test your broadheads and make sure you don't have any wobbly ones. I don't think it means anything where you bought your stuff, Wally World stuff is just as good as a pro shops.

Just try tuning with your broadheads and see what you can do. Don't worry about the old myth about the blades matching your vanes. Some broadheads are harder to tune than others. Some fly just like fieldtips right out of the package. What I am glad to see is you finding out now instead of opening day of the season and missing a deer or wounding it. Kudos to you for doing something lots of guys don't do!!

Good luck and welcome to the forums!

Re: field points shoot good, broadheads not

I'd try bumping up to 125 grain broadheads. The same thing happened to me with 100 grain, but I switched over to 125 grain ones and I'm grouping very well out to 35 yards or so with Muzzy's 125 grain 3 blades. Give that a try.
