unioncountyslayer
Don't know how many of you listen to Christian Music on here. I have a few people/bands that I like. Third Day, David Crowder Band, Thousand Foot Crutch to name a few. But was surprised to hear a song on Christian radio today and after it was over they announced that it was Brian Littrell, former member of the BackStreet Boys! Just curious if anyone else had heard of his crossover to Christian music. The song sounded pretty good, I think it is called "Home". Jeramie
Re: Christian Music Yup, I listen to all sorts of Music and Christian is definitely one of them. Personally I'm more into the older Southern Gospel and Bluegrass so I listen to more Randy Travis, Bill Monroe, Ricky Skaggs, etc.

Guest Andrea
Re: Christian Music Yeah................I listen to a lot of different artists. MercyMe, Point Of Grace, Sheila Walsh, Steven Curtis Chapman. Can't get into that Southern Gospel though. It's just not the style I prefer. Haven't heard Littrell's song. I'd heard he was crossing over. Good for him!!

slugshooter
Re: Christian Music I basically grew up listening to 4Him, Michael English, Phillips, Craig and Dean, Petra, DC Talk etc. Lately I have gotten into Building 429, Storyside B, Casting Crowns, I like some of the newer stuff. Brian Littrell from Backstreet crossed over about a year or so ago. I also enjoy Southern Gospel, there's nothing like it, Gaither Vocal Band, The Cathedrals, The Happy Goodmans, The Statesman. My stepfather used to play piano in a quartet back in the 70's. The group was called The Tonesmen. They got pretty popular for awhile, they played with just about everyone, and the older singers on the Gaither Video's, well, he knows just about all of them. need2hunt
Re: Christian Music I used to listen to it all the time... Petra, Margaret Becker, Rich Mullins, The Choir, Altar Boys, One Bad Pig, Brian Duncan, Rez Band, Larry Norman, Out of the Grey, Susan Ashton, Philips Craig and Dean, Micheal W, Phil Keaggy... the list goes on and on, I've been lucky enough to see most of these artists in concert as well. In fact Margaret Becker is going to be in Dixon on Dec 16th and I'll be going to see her.
bozz
Re: Christian Music Steven Curtsi Chapman is all I listen to....we have his whole collection....most of the other christian bands just seem bibically challenge to me......you know very few Godly words and very water down when sung......don't care for that too much. Newarcher
Re: Christian Music Peg's crazy as a loon!...in a good way. I used to love to hear her sing and would laugh my butt off at some of the things that she would do. She got excited, that's for sure. In fact, when on our honeymoon on the Island of Martinique, the bus driver (named dunkin donuts) was listening to Peg and the McCamees sing. I am not much for Christian rock but I won't start that discussion but there is a song that I love but don't know who sings it or even the name of it. But it talks about what the guy would do when he first stands in the presence of God....something about 'would I dance for you Jesus or in awe of you be still' and so on. THAT IS A GREAT SONG and the lyrics are amazing if you really think about it. The way I have acted in this life, I am not looking forward to standing in front of him at ALL!
