Re: Single..and loving it.....

Some people can live happy and fulfilled lives without the need to share their life with someone else, but I couldn’t.

I grew up as a normal kid, but later I found something missing.

I attended school, but something was missing.

I had friends, but something was missing.

I had dates, but something was missing.

I had freedom, but something was missing.

I had adventures, but something was missing.

I saw many sights growing up, and traveled extensively, but something was missing.

I attended parties, and had many good times hanging around with my friends, but something was missing.

I enjoyed solitude, but something was missing.

I found Christ, but something was still missing.

I found a loving church where I could worship, but something was missing.

Then I found her, and my life became complete.

Complete with joy,

Complete with sadness.

Complete with children,

Complete with debt.

Complete with work,

Complete with acceptance.

Complete with fulfillment,

Complete with retirement.

Before her, there was just something missing.

funny but true. Most people I know of that age and single are weird. LOL

I cant imagine being single again. Life is so much better with tthe wife.

Being single during hunting season might allow me more time to hunt, but when I get home from hunting sure is nice to have warm food waiting on me!!! wink.gif

Re: Single..and loving it.....

I loved being single...and hated the whole dating game altogether! Luckily, it didn't take many dates to fall head over heels for my fiancee.

It's nice to reach that point in your life where you make the realization--"it'd be nice to have someone, but I don't NEED someone to be happy." Once I did make that realization, everything else seemed to fall into place.

Re: Single..and loving it.....

I am 36 and single. Never been married or close. If it happens it happens. Women at school ask me When are you going to get married. I ask them what can you do when your married that you cant do when you dating someone or living with them. They dont ask again after that. I have nothing against marriage. I think it is great if you find someone to spend the rest of your life with. If I found the right one and we both new it was the right thing to do I would be all for it.
