13littleones
In Feb. of this year I decided it was time for my bow to have a new string put on, 3 guys working at the shop all said I would be wasting my money on a sting that looks in that good of shape. I explained to them that my bow was 4 years old and I had shot it around 3000 times the year before. 2 months ago at a diff. shop I gave him the same story.........Same answer "Looks Great" Look at what I have 12 days before the season opens ! ! Michiganbowhunter_SQ2
Re: 2 Diff. Pro Shops said my string looked \"FINE\" wow....that really stinks...i would take it back to each and every pro shop that said it was "ok" and show them what happened...then find another pro shop to fix it....are your limbs ok?? man that just really sucks!!...one thing i have learned over the years is no matter what anyone tells you...if you think it needs to be changed...then change it...its your bow and your money! if its not fine to you get it fixed....but i bet you know that by now...good luck....i hope you get it fixed quick!! They just lost a sale.

AdvantageTimberLou
Re: 2 Diff. Pro Shops said my string looked \"FINE\" not sure why they would not want to put on a new one, they would be making the money from doing the work.... even if you took the bow to the them, they aren't responsible. did anything cut the string by chance? BowtechTurkeyHunter
Re: 2 Diff. Pro Shops said my string looked \"FINE\" I dont ask my bow shop if I need a new string .... I tell them I want a new string and we put one on .... you should halways have a backup anyhow ... this could have happened in the woods climbing the tree ... whatever ... this is a classic example of why you need an extra string ... VtBowhunter
Re: 2 Diff. archerjg
Re: 2 Diff. Pro Shops said my string looked \"FINE\" Sorry to hear about that. Hopefully you can get it fixed soon, but I would not go to either shop again. If you ask the pro shop around here to replace the string they would replaced the string. I had mine changed earlier this year as both bows had 6 or 7 year old strings that had thousands of shots through them. They looked fine and the shop said they didn't need replacing, but they replaced them when I asked them too. Archerjg

13littleones
Re: 2 Diff. Pro Shops said my string looked \"FINE\" My string broke as I took my second shot of the day.I pulled back, hit the release, then a loud slapping noise (cams), my idler wheel was spinning for a good 15 seconds as my arrow hit its mark. The string broke just above or below the knocking point at the string loop. The cable followed suit as well.
Guest foulmouthfool
Re: 2 Diff. Pro Shops said my string looked \"FINE\" I bet they don't know how to properly restring and cable a bow. I am very picky about who does mine, as I've found that most shops simply don't know exactly whats involved. Sounds like they didn't want to get in over their heads. There is a LOT more to it than just slapping it on.
Griz
Re: 2 Diff. Pro Shops said my string looked \"FINE\" Oh man that really suks... I'd be sure to check those limbs and cams out really good for cracks and anyother type of damage before you put a new string on... Hope you get her fixed and shooting soon... 123 4/8 P&Y
Re: 2 Diff. Pro Shops said my string looked \"FINE\" Well buddy, there is some good news. If your arrow hit the mark, then some of the energy from your limbs was used up in the shot, and not all absorbed back into the limbs and riser. There is a good chance that your limbs, riser, and axles will be in good shape. I would inspect them for damage though. And make sure that your cam doesn't rub on your limb when you draw after you re-string it. Good luck.
