hunterfisherman
Re: Hunting in the U.S That's just not right. Why would bow hunting be outlawed. If that ever happens here I will find a new place to live. maybe I'll go north to our brothers up there.
Guest aitchie666
Re: Hunting in the U.S supposedly its inhumane (like fox hunting with hounds and thats just been banned). Am i right in saying you have bag limits. if so how many deer are you allowed to take in a season.
hunterfisherman
Re: Hunting in the U.S In Indiana as long as you keep buying the tags you can shoot about 200 does. You can shoot one buck. some states have a buck a day limit throughout their season. Same with Turkey. Each state is different. Most states have very good bag limits. It really is a great country to hunt in.
Guest aitchie666
Re: Hunting in the U.S Yeah ive heard it is. Dont get me wrong the UK is also a great country to hunt in. Especially in the Scotish highlands its just well hard to come across FREE deer stalking. The best thing over hear is you dont have bag limits and you dont have to get TAGS either

hunterfisherman
Re: Hunting in the U.S Last until january. I hunt with a bow, muzzleloader and shotgun with slugs. We can't use riffles in Indiana, it's to flat. Not really needed either. My muzzleloader will shoot out to 250 yards and that's more than enough here. Most shots are inside of 150 yards. Bow shots are usually inside of 30 yards. It's mostly farm land and small woods plots here.

hunterfisherman
Re: Hunting in the U.S I hunt Whitetail, waterfowl, upland birds, Turkey, Elk,upland game, and hoping to add Antelope and hogs next year. Me and a couple of hunting buddies are trying to plan a hog hunt with a knife. You use dogs to track them and when you get them cornered you go in with a knife and stick em. Can be a bit dangerous but that's what makes it fun. I'll hunt anything that's huntable. Hoping to get out to Colorado next year for Mountain Lion too. Would love to take one of the big cats with my bow

That is for whitetails!
Guest aitchie666
Re: Hunting in the U.S Mate that sounds quality, hopefully we will have some wild boar in England soon, some left wing tree hugging anti hunting hippy thought it would be a good item to let a load of captive boar free not realising that they would have to be shot. You ever taken a bear?
OJR
Re: Hunting in the U.S We have a lot of black bear around here, but I do not hunt them!!

hunterfisherman
Re: Hunting in the U.S Any hunting situation can be dangerous but you take every step you can to insure your safety and then give it a go. They only animal I wouldn't hunt with a bow is a Polar Bear, Tiger, and Lion. Just to much risk for me.
OJR
Re: Hunting in the U.S I only hunt with a rifle. No bow or muzzle loader. Too old for that stuff!
