clayman
This is getting old. Some of you may remember the episode I had back in July with some juveniles spraypainting rail cars on the tracks next to my house. Well, last night around 7:00 pm I busted another punk in the act. He gave the cops the slip, but they impounded his vehicle that he so stupidly parked in front of my house. I talked to an officer with the St. Paul PD property crimes/graffitti unit and he told me the car was registered to a 51 year old man from the west side of the twin cities about 15 miles from my house. Somebody's dad is going to be awfully ticked when he finally figures out what his son was doing to get the family car impounded. I can only imagine what lies he told his folks when he got home without the car last night.
mrswtnhunt
Re: Graffitti - again Hope his dad gives him what for... have you asked the PD to increase patrol around your area? Might need to. If the punks are brave enough to spray paint the cars who knows what else they might do. Be careful though, that punk might come back. clayman
Re: Graffitti - again It's not so much about a need to beef up the patrols in this neighborhood. We've got some of the lowest stats in the city. There has been a major problem with graffitti taggings all across the city this year, and some of it just happened to have occured by me when I was there to witness and report it. The difficulty for the cops is that the trains that stop by my house are only there briefly so they have a hard time recording and documenting the "tags" because the trains have usually left by the time they can do so. I'm not afraid of retribution, the cops know who did it both times and these kids would be the first ones hauled in if anything happened here. A person should never be so afraid of retribution that it prevents them from calling the police.

SUGARKAHNE
Re: Graffitti - again A couple gangs around town sometimes paint graffiti on bridges, walls, everything. It looks so tacky.
