Re: Team 2

You all can call me Moon, I get called that more than my real name anyway, so it's first instinct to answer to that. grin.gif I'm from South Central Pennsylvania, but I hunt in Northwestern Pennsylvania on public lands. I already have a whole week registered at a cabin on the public lands for the rifle deer season. I applied for a Antlerless tag for the area also, but wasn't pulled for one. I picked up a DMAP tag instead for the exact area I hunt and will use that on a Antlerless if I don't get an Antlered deer first.

A little background on me. I'm a 21 year old female hunter/fisherwoman who has always hunted public lands with a group of hunters, including my father, since age 14. I have shot 4 deer so far; two Button-Bucks and two mature Does. I only rifle hunt, and I use a Remington Model Seven .243 Win with a Leupold scope for my rifle hunting. For a living I'm a web/graphic designer, game beta/alpha tester, and starting to get into game design and 3D modeling. Because of my profession I normally am on this computer every day (almost) for 12 hours at least.

For the past 3 seasons I've harvested an Antlerless deer each year. I've yet to shoot an Antlered deer, but I always try my hardest to find one every year. I have a good chance, but cannot promise, that I'll at least pick up an Antlerless deer for the team. I normally can at least pull that off, but can't promise it. I'm hoping more for some Antlers this year, though. wink.gif

If someone on the team ever needs help posting pictures you can PM me and I'll give you my e-mail to send them to. Also has anyone got any team name suggestions? I won't hit my deer season until the end of November, so I have a ways to go yet before I can go hunting for the team. I hope everyone else on the team has a successful and fun season. I look forward to listening to your experiences this year. grin.gif

Re: Team 2

hello, I'm Jon. I live in Henry county, Ohio. It's NW Ohio, about 45 south of Toledo. If you guys know the race car driver Sam Hornish Jr., well he grew up in defience which is the next town over from Napoleon, which is my hometown. That will give ya a god estimate to where I live. This is my 8th year deer hunting, second with a bow. I have taken 2 nice deer in my career. I can't wait, looks like a good team and season will be there on Saturday morning!

Also, really excited to see that ksdeerhunter03 is on our team. If I'm not mistaken, he's the same guy that let Ginger Morehead hunt on his and out in Kansas, and that's the second hunt of Vol. 1 Monster Bucks!

Re: Team 2

Well my name is Terry and I live in Bullitt county, Kentucky. I am 33, married with no kids. I have introduced my wife to hunting couple of years ago and when the weather is fair she enjoys the outdoors with me.

I haven't had the time to get out much. The weather is getting right so after this week should be able to spend more time in the woods.

Good luck to the team.

Re: Team 2

I don't know fenderhunt4, but if he/she doesn't check in in a couple days I can send them a PM reminding them to check in if you'd like?

As far as team names go. How about since our team is Team 2 then how's the name "Team DoubleTake"? Since we'll be making the other teams do a double take at the end of the year when the final scores are in. wink.gifgrin.gif

Re: Team 2

Any other suggestions for team names? The suggestions we have so far for team names are:

  • [*]Team DoubleTake

[*]Team Droptine

If there is no other suggestions then lets hear which of the two you guys like best. I suggested the Team DoubleTake, but I like Team Droptine, too. So, my vote has to go for Team DoubleTake since I suggested it.

Whichever name we decide on I can make signatures for the team once need2hunt approves the team name. grin.gif

Re: Team 2

DeerSlayer10 VTBowman made a good point in the entry thread. If you still have your deer rack on hand go measure out those browtines on it to make sure they are 1". Just hold up the tape up to each browtine and snap a picture to prove it's 1" or if it isn't 1" let us know so I can correct you entry to the right amount of points. If you get those pictures for me just e-mail them to me like before I'll edit your submission and put the pictures in. That way no one has any doubts and we get awarded the correct amount of points for the team. It slipped my mind last nigh when I posted that up for you. What I get for posting it up while tired. crazy.gif Otherwise we might get docked two points and your deer considered a 4-point instead.
