Re: Team 6

Been out since Saturday and have seen lots of deer, a few decent bucks and one nice 8 point, but he has yet come into bow range.

Shot another hog this morning at 715, but cant find it. Wasn't a passthru, but I did find the arrow, the nock is gone and I can't find any blood after where I found the arrow. Looked for about 3 hours this morning and then another 3 hours after lunch, but still not sure which direction the hog went, kinda hard to track one without a blood trail.

I am off work till Thursday afternoon, so I still have another day and then Thursday morning, so maybe the hogs will leave me alone and the deer will come into range.

Re: Team 6

Still been seeing some does and yearlings, but the bucks kept showing up, just won't come close enough for a shot. Thinking I might just forget about the bucks tomorrow and hope a big fat doe comes in range. Suppose to be kinda windy here tomorrow, but still going out anyways.

Had 2 longbeards and 7 jakes come by today. They were just about into my shooting lane, when they seen something they didn't like, they starting putting and starting going back, so I drew back, one of the jakes stopped and offered a shot, but I blew it, shot right under him. First turkey I ever shot at with my bow, maybe I will see them again.

Good luck to all yall this weekend smile.gif

Re: Team 6

OK guys!!!

I killed a 10 point last night with my bow. I'm trying to upload the photos but am having trouble..

Ho do I do it again. I went to picture post, clicked upload photos, selected the file name, clicked upload photos. Then it went to a blank screen.

I will get them up as soon as I can.

Re: Team 6

OK I figured it out!!!!

I killed a nice 10 point last night with the bow. Shot him around 4:50pm. tracked him from 8:30pm till 1:00am. Rattled him in while using a grunt tube, not the buck growl, just a regular old fasioned grunt tube!!!!

Here are the pics...

Many congrats guys!!!! Awesome bucks!! I"m hoping that since this is the week before the rut, and I'm off all week on vacation, I can put some major time in... The big boys we've been gettin on camera and who are nocturnal are bound to slip up this week! I've still just been passing on little bucks! Good luck to everyone who still needs their buck!

Re: Team 6

Well guys I killed a doe saturday morning with my bow. I'm going to enter her in, but hopefully i will kill a buck this week and have it upgraded. This had to be the most exciting hunt i've had. A small buck bumped this doe up the ridge I was on and she laid down about 60 yds from my stand. She was looking away from me and I had two trees in between my and her head. I climbed down out of my tree and slowly made my way toward her, keeping those 2 trees in between her and I. I got up to the first tree about 25 - 30 yds away from her and and took my shot, double lunged her. She ran about 15 yds and piled up. Here is the pic. I'm off all week so I'll be out there trying to get my buck.
