BowJoe
Re: Team 14 Thanks Nite. That would be cool. I think team name is "The Double 7's." Awsome job Mack. Get them pics up and we'll be on the board. Hopefully we'll get a lot more done in the next few weeks. I took some days off work for hunting but I have the youngun to look after so I might not be doing as much as I wanted. Can't wait for an evening hunt to get started. Good luck everyone. christsavedme
Re: Team 14 Hey team.....sorry it has taken me so long to respond and check in. I have been out of town on business for the last couple of weeks and then this weekend I was out of town at my dad's place hunting opening weekend. Wish I could say put me on the board, but it was a long hot uneventful weekend. Anyways, Double 7's sound great. And looks like we are already on the board. As for those the would like to know a little bit about me. Well my name is Josh, I am 28yrs old, Married to my wonderful wife and we just had our first baby girl last May. I live in Northwest Mississippi and hunt here and Tennessee(mostly TN). I love to hunting....esp bowhunting, but my true passion is sharing the love of Jesus Christ with others around me! I also love my job. I am a paramedic for a small county where I live. Actually I am now an EMS Supervisor. Anyways enough about me. Sorry once again for taking so long! Hunt hard and keep up the good work! Josh

Guest rutnroy
Re: Team 14 sunday was uneventful . saw nothing in the morning and a lone doe in the evening . she was a good 100 yds. away , so no shot was available on this hunt. congrats on the doe craig now you can work on that big buck. i'm hoping to get a doe soon but things have really slowed down. i think we hit that oct. lull allready. i have almost 3 weeks off for the rut so i should get at least one shot. hunt hard and be safe!! JPGS22
Re: Team 14 Well I guys I went out wednesday morning and saw 4 doe's. I was going to shoot the big one but they layed down 10 yards from my stand. So I thought this could be a good thing to bring some bucks in. I watched them for probably an hour just sleeping. Then I looked up and saw a buck coming my way. He wasn't huge but a good buck to take because he was mature. (I saw this one before scouting). He came right into the does and went up to one and was trying to get her to stand up. Well at 15 yards and not having a care in the world but the doe I took the shot. It was an eight point with about a 20 inch spread. I guess not shooting one of the does payed off. I taged it with a red tag (crop damage) so I still have another buck tag. But I'll have to wait and post it for the score later because the tag is at the butcher shop. [image][/image]

Tony
Re: Team 14 Nice buck there Joe.. man some of you arent wasting time at all. i better get on my horse.. i saw a nice 8 point buck last night, but im not sure i would take him. he looked wide, but hes probably only 130 to 140 class. i have the next 3 days off and since the weathers is going to be good, im going to be hunting pretty hard each day. JPGS22
Re: Team 14 Yeah like I said I still have a buck tag left. I got three tags for crop damage for my land this buck was one. The rest I will use for does. This buck probably only goes low 120 class but he was a good management deer to take out. Now I'll be going after the big one I've been seeing. Guest wildotter
Re: Team 14 Well, I'm headed out this Sat. to hunt in a place w/tons of deer. I plan on shooting a doe first, but if a nice buck walks by I'll have to take him. I'll be hunting both the morning and evening, so my chances should be good. It looks like the warm weather we've been having for the past week & 1/2 is going to break for the weekend. Congrats on the doe Craig! And congrats on the nice buck too Joe! I hope I can make a contribution to the Double 7's this weekend! Good luck to everyone!!!!!

Tony
Re: Team 14 well guys i got access to hunt a brand new spot. i hung a stand at 10am and went back to hunt it tonight at 3pm. i usually dont hunt a stand right after hanging it, but this place is awesome. at 4:05 i saw 3 does working the old logging road. eventually i got my shot and i took a nice doe at 33 yards and she only went 40 yards. [image][/image] i will get pics of my tag in the morning and get my 5 points for us. this location is going to get me a shot at a brusier buck for sure. i can just feel it..
