sasksheds
Re: Update - Team 14 - Double 7\'s I am waiting to get my buck scored officially. There are 2 questionable points. Also Saskman has to enter his before I'll enter mine.lol I have a pic of he & I in my basement together drinking whiskey over both of our RACKS! BowJoe
Re: Update - Team 14 - Double 7\'s I just don't understand what the point of having a scoreboard is if it's never updated! At least our's isn't changing, I don't know about anyone else's. Kinda breaks moral a bit when you don't know where you are with the competition. sasksheds
Re: Update - Team 14 - Double 7\'s If you look @ the last time he posted & updated the score I think it was the 24th.The season is LONG & we will have lots of time. The guy is prob super busy with work, family & trying to get out hunting himself.I wont be entering mine anytime soon. BowJoe
Re: Update - Team 14 - Double 7\'s But you can enter as many as you want right? LIke if I killed 3 does, then I could enter all 3 right?
NiteRunner
Update - Double 7\'s BowJoe, No you can only enter one deer. However since you already got a Doe, you can Upgrade if you get a buck. So say if you get a 10-point, you count each tine (over 1 Inch) as a point, plus 5 points for the deer. Giving you a total of 15 points. And the Doe you already entered gets taken off. Well I went on the controlled hunt and we helped someone else drag one out, really nice one too, but zippo for me. Saw some but didn't get them, Sorry Team. BTW All, Sacksheds did this last year too! He likes to leave the teams in suspence! lol He will enter it though! sasksheds
Re: Update - Team 14 - Double 7\'s Nope, just one deer. But you can upgrade.eg: a doe is worth 5 points.Shoot a buck & you upgrade to 5 points for the deer plus the # of scorable points he has.The prev 5 points for your doe is dropped. If you shoot a better buck with more points you can drop your prev buck & enter the better one. Tony
Re: Update - Team 14 - Double 7\'s sorry guys, i passed up a 130 to 140 class 8 point tuesday night. he walked right through a shooting lane at 40 yards. it was at the same stand i shot my doe. just wasnt the buck im looking for right now. the bucks are really starting to move a lot. lots of fresh buck rubs and scrapes showing up all over. nows the time. all i have to do is be patient and ready. im sure there are bigger bucks than this in the area. Tony
Re: Update - Team 14 - Double 7\'s had a great day today, i hunted all day and it was 12.5 hours in the stand. i saw 7 bucks and 4 does and 2 i dont know what they were. i passed on the 130ish 8 point again. he was only 36 yards out at 0705 am. saw a 3 and a 6 crusing my area. not shot oppuotunity. had a little fella come in around 1130 am. i tried to get a picture of him, but it didnt turn out so well. had a basket 8 chase does and then right at 4:45 i rattled one last time. a big 8 point came in that was at least 22 inches wide, 12 inch G2s and 10 inch g3s. but was short on main beam and not huge in mass. i didnt get a shot anyways, but he made 2 scrapes and worked a tree. i put him at 3.5 years old and maybe close to 140. im going to have to think this one out. i mean i cant shoot a 170 if i shoot a 140 now. maybe i can get pictures for you all tomorrow. things are really looking up. i knew this stand site would be hot and its not eve the rut yet.. JPGS22
Re: Update - Team 14 - Double 7\'s Here's a couple I saw when I took my buddy out. We passed on all of them since the rut is kicking up pretty good. The two bucks layed down right in front of the stand. Scentlok at it's finest. Went out yesterday afternoon and got me a decent Tennessee 9 point. He isn't a monster but was one of those that I didn't have alot of time to think about it and we have three buck tags a year so I took him. He is almost 16" inside with alot of character. Anyways I will post pics soon. Just wanted to give you guys an update! In His Grip, Josh

Tony
Re: Update - Team 14 - Double 7\'s hutned friday in the cold rain/ sleet and drizzle and 30 mph wnds. saw a few deer, but it was just to nasty for me to last very long rut or not i was out of there in about 4.5 hours. today was really good. cold 29 degrees, and a slight wind. i saw 4 bucks and 4 does. i could have shot all of them except the one buck. i passed a 130 class 10 point that came to rattleing and stopped right at my mock scrape at just a meer 24 yards. i drew my bow aimed the right pin on his chest and then let down. he was looking the other way. geez, im spoiled or something. its 150 class or above for me this year. dont know if i will get my chance, but im having a lot of fun. this new double funnel stand is really working good. spent all day on stand, 11.5 hours. probably the same for tomorrow..
