AdvantageTimberLou
Our team competes in this race every year, we have won it 3 times in a row but this year an engine stopped us from getting our 4th win. Anyways the race was good, we got up to 6th on lap 142 when the engine decided it didn't want to go anymore. Here was the real action, kung fu action! I guess it made most of the news stations in Ohio, not sure if ESPN will show it as its grass roots level racing. I have seen some fights but this one takes the cake. I think both drivers will be barred from the track for life now after this one! http://www.nbc24.com/Global/story.asp?S=5452220&nav=menu122_4
texastrophies
Re: Check this out (Toledo Speedway Glass City 200 ) That was funny. Never seen anybody kickout the windshield before. I think he was just a tad bit upset.

AdvantageTimberLou
Re: Check this out (Toledo Speedway Glass City 200 ) he got wrecked by the guy, thing is St. Denis has been suspended before for his temper, thing is he is the guy in the car getting his windshield kicked in! Not sure of the banning yet as the Kung Fu driver, Simko races in the ARCA series and this is a race that ARCA puts on for our late model class. I have never seen this move done, very dangerous though as those windshiels are lexan and think of what could of happen, someone could of been jabbed with one. They only wear racing shoes too that are almost like wrestling shoes but can take the high heat inside the car! This is a classic battle though!! The crowd went nuts!! MUDRUNNER
Re: Check this out (Toledo Speedway Glass City 200 ) You never know what your going to see when a few racers get nutty!I've seen best friends have brawls and hornet drivers fist fight over second and third place finishes-which is only about a $20 differance in pay out. AdvantageTimberLou
Re: Check this out (Toledo Speedway Glass City 200 ) this is what grass roots short track racing is all about, can be southern gentlemen until the green flag drops these are high dollar cars and when you wreck one its dollar signs, big time, but when you get wrecked for no good reason tempers sometimes get the best of you, this got out of hand and will go down as the best one I have seen! AdvantageTimberLou
Re: Check this out (Toledo Speedway Glass City 200 ) The really sad thing is, this footage made CNN yesterday, I seen it and could not believe it. Our sport needs coverage but not like this, that footage will air on those "caught on tape" shows for many, many years! I can at least say I know both of these guys!! AdvantageTimberLou
Re: Check this out (Toledo Speedway Glass City 200 ) I guess later today, 1PM MSNBC is going to have both of them on for an interview. That should be interesting. These too are getting their 15 minutes of fame, that is for sure. Problem for them now is finding a new place to race in 2007. Toledo and ARCA has banned them from competition. If your a racer that is huge especially when Toledo puts on some great late model races. How will this fight be topped? Sad thing is, someday it will be and a camera will be there to capture it!
Michiganbowhunter_SQ2
Re: Check this out (Toledo Speedway Glass City 200 ) the clip made ESPN too...they just had it as one of the final topics on Around the Horn....and is going to be on PTI also! AdvantageTimberLou
Re: Check this out (Toledo Speedway Glass City 200 ) I have seen it on about 5 different shows, they just can't beleive how Simko was able to do that "Kung Fu" move. I keep hearing plastic windshield too, the windshields are made out of lexan, its a requirement in the rules. I just keep thinking if a piece of that lexan would have jabbed St. Denis. Could have been a much uglier outcome than what it already was. I am sure there will be a fight that will top this one but so far this is the best one I have seen yet. Have seen some great battles on the track with cars but the battles in the pits can be brutal!! Gotta love racing!
