Guest LDB
Rosy had been trash-barkin all week, but on Saturday she backed it up. Lots of solid points, and she did a great job locating downed (but definitely not out) birds. I defy you to try to tell me she wasn't having fun:

Guest LDB
Re: Rosy\'s debut (photos) We were hunting for sharptailed grouse and Hungarian partridge, although we didn't find too many Hungarian partridge.

Jeramie
Re: Rosy\'s debut (photos) Pretty dog! Btw, what is in her mouth in the first pic. Im having trouble figuring that out. Is it sticks?
Texan_Til_I_Die
Re: Rosy\'s debut (photos) Ain't she a peach! And I do believe those would be feathers in her mouth. Every good dog I've ever seen has never acted like it bothered them to have the feathers in their mouth or on their lips. In fact, they seem to enjoy it. Sorta like a badge of honor! Guest LDB
Re: Rosy\'s debut (photos) That's correct - those are feathers in her mouth. She had just finished finding the bird, and she doesn't seem to mind a mouthful of feathers at all. In hindsight, I probably should have given her a drink of water before taking the photos - her tongue was getting a little long. She won't stop to take drinks when she's hunting unless I force her to, so I have to watch the length of her tongue to know when she's getting thirsty. Guest LDB
Re: Rosy\'s debut (photos) I'll be sure to give you a holler if I'm ever down that way. I'm finding just the opposite around here, lots of sharpies, not a lot of Huns - might have to do with the wet spring. I seem to be especially adept at finding sharptails when I'm trying to do a final stalk when bowhunting mule deer.
