unioncountyslayer
Playing off the post in the deer hunting thread of "What size hunters do we have", for those of you that work out, just curious how much you weigh and what your bench press is. Guest txhillcountryhunter
Re: What do you bench? I'm 6'3" and weight in at 235 lbs. I bench press about 285 lbs....not one of my strengths though. I just started working out again after a layoff of a couple of years and have put on a solid 15 lbs. (with a little help & a lotta food/water)

After being bashed by a few members about my size in another thread, I was just curious how they stacked up, if at all.

Jeramie
Re: What do you bench? Im roughly 5' 7" and change. I just lost about 20lbs and im down to roughly 189lbs. My bench is down right now because I just started back after a year stint. My max right now is 250lbs and thats playing by the rules. I drop to my chest, hesitate for a second to avoid fluid motion and then push it up (flat bench).. Im about 15-20lbs off of my liftime max but im back on creatine and a strength program so it should be back soon. Im hoping to break or close in on 300lbs in a year. Ill pick up the "Add 50lbs to your bench" routine by Bill Phillips in December. I should pick up roughly 10-15lbs then.

[ QUOTE ] I'm 6 foot and weigh 170lbs and I can only get about 185 on the bench...and thats just 3 times. [/ QUOTE ] Thats not your max then. Your max is a single rep. If youre getting it three times youre benching closer to 200lbs. Btw, if you want that to increase work on your chest start blasting your tri's with tricept extension, dips (seated dips are fine), and good old pushups. Bond
Re: What do you bench? On a machine, I can easily do 250. That's the max of the machine, it won't let me use more weight. Free weights, which are a lot harder, I can do just over 200. I think I got up to 215 but then I stopped lifting and haven't actually maxxed out in a while. OUTSIDER
Re: What do you bench? As of today i am doing my last set with 265, i am pressing it 6 times. I can roughly press about 315. As stated earlier i am 5ft 10 200-210 pounds, i am like a walking stump. I can squat a heck of alot more. I workout like 4 days a week, and can still run three miles in under 24 minutes. I's what you call in shape.

Haven't lifted weights in a while, not sure what I could do now. I'd usually go with about 150-160lbs for regular workouts.
