First Elk

Well guys here is the first elk I have ever shot in my life, There is such a long story to tell with the horible experience we had with our outfitter it does not warrent all of the time and space.

She was the only group we saw in the time I was in the Bridger Wildlife Area in Wyoming. I shot her at 150 yards off hand with no rest and hit her behind the shoulder. She stumbled sideways and fell within 10 feet of the initial shot.

For my first ever elk I was happy!!!!! I can always go back for antlers!

Re: First Elk

Nothing like a dry cow for some good eatin. To be honest-----that's the way elk hunting is---lots of walking----not seeing anything for a couple days---then there they are. CB
