I concidered it. But your card has high interest rates and there are no real incentives. Get your interest rates down to the same as a Capital One card and I might switch.

Anymore Ranger that is the key to getting customers, incentives and low interest rates for people that can't pay them off each month. Even incentives for hunting clothes and merchandise would be great. I like Team Realtree a lot but can live with it not being on my credit card!

No there is no bennefit to it for me. All my gear comes from either scheels or cabelas and I get points worth money with the cabelas card. Since most places don't take checks nymore i use my card for everything and just pay it off every months. The RT card has too high of a rate should someone need ro revolve a balance, and there are no perks with it. I'll stick to Cabelas.

Re: Realtree MasterCard?

I applied for the realtree card. I was denied for it as I was expecting. I just 18 so I have no credit and was denied because of it. Its funny because almost every credit card company will decline someone with no credit but if you get denied how are you supposed to build the credit. You cant buy a car because you have no credit so you cant build it up that way. It is funny how that works. I also tried applying for the cabelas card but was denied for the same reason along with all the bank credit cards. I was finaly accepted by bass pro for there credit card the other day. Now all I have to do is be responsible with it and pay it in full each month. But anyways I thought the realtree card was a cool idea and wish I could have got it but, oh well.

You build credit like everyone else... you pay for it. Get small loans with a co-signer and make payments for a minimum of 12 mos. Only open one loan every 4 mos with 3 different companies. (Equals 12 months but keep each loan open for 12 months.) Pay every month on time and with no late periods. In fact, take the money that you borrowed and put it in a savings account. Pay that bill on time and don't even consider touching that money for anything but the loans. You will definately pay a lot more back, but you are buying your credit. Nothing in life if free but death. Try to get a low interest loan though. If you can't keep your hands off the money you borrowed then you obviously don't deserve good credit. Also, don't renew the loans no matter how much money they offer you. What happens when they renew is you get a small amount back from the larger amount you just paid and that's all profit to them not to mention that you start all over again with a new loan at a higher payment. Kinda stupid if you think about it.
