vagobbln
Have you ever sat your kid down and questioned him or her about something they did wrong? You grill them and try to get a straight answer as they squirm around in their seat. Bill Clinton reacted just like that when, in an interview Sunday, Foxnews' Chris Wallace asked him about why he didn't go after Osama Bin Laden during his presidency. Wallace must have hit on something for "Slick Willy" to blow a gasket like that. It's comical. Go to the Foxnews website and watch the entire interview. I liked bill Clinton And I like Bush But what would u do if u were caught off guard with questions u were unprepared for on TV? Most likely youd be a little upset. Don't make excuses for an ex presient of the united states!!! He doesn't need time to prepar for that question. He claims he was "OBSESSED" with Osama. There has been terrorism for my lifetime and you dems just want to blame it all on Bush. At least he's finally doing something about it. Clinton is a snake and a liar and as far as I'm concerned a coward. I'm glad to see someone call him out like they did.

The deal was he would give them 30 minutes. 15 had to be about his foundation and the other 15 could be about any topic. Why should he have to "prepare" to give a honest answer anyway? I'm not saying Bush has done everything perfect either, but when it comes to Bin Laden, Clinton blew it and he knows it.

When he leaned up and started waving his finger in Wallaces' face and poking him in the leg, I wanted Chris to tell him to sit his butt down! Look, the guy has gotten nothing but softball questions tossed at him by the liberal media his whole career. All of a sudden someone has the cods to ask him a tough, but very legitimate question and he couldn't handle it.

WaCoyote
Re: Clinton Unhinged [ QUOTE ] I would rather have someone who was doing it right, but that's just me. [/ QUOTE ] Oh, please. Something is better than nothing then lying about it. What in your opinion is "right"? All I know is the fact that we havent been attacked since 9/11 and were killing a lot of these Kook muslim extremists. This alone makes me very happy. Did clinton ever actually order any response to any attack that resulted in the death of an extremist? Something has to be done and it's high time something is being done. Clinton could have said that they underestimated the threat. Any sane person could agree with that. Obviously Bush underestimated it. Who would have thought that anybody would fly planes into buildings. It's outside our realm of thinking. Now it's all Bush's fault. This is absurd. But it's too late for hiding our heads in the sand and it's time to start killing them too. The press has been bashing Bush since he's been in office and these libs get off scott free. I'm sick of the double standard. They all voted for the war. They all supported it. Now they all act like they never did. Unfortunatley the people who vote for these jokers believe it all. Do any of you dems actually pay attention to the news? How can you support a party that wants these animals to have any rights or any protection at all. The rules have changed. We need to treat these people like the animals they are and give them no quarter. Just like we did in the pacific theater in WW2.

The job wasn't finished in Afganistan when we started to focus on Iraq. Because of that, the Taliban is now gaining power again. Bush underestimated the insergency and now we have that mess to deal with too. It's all nice that Bush finally did something, but doing something half-assed is worse than doing nothing at all, because now we have even larger problem. Bush has done a great job here at home(preventing attacks by foiling them) [ QUOTE ] he press has been bashing Bush since he's been in office and these libs get off scott free. [/ QUOTE ] And the Press and neo-cons bashed clinton the entire way thru his time in office. What's the difference? Remember when Clinton bombed Iraq? It was called a "decoy" to shift the public view away from the Lewinski thing. [ QUOTE ] Do any of you dems actually pay attention to the news? How can you support a party that wants these animals to have any rights or any protection at all. [/ QUOTE ] Because all humans have the same rights. You know, those rights that this country was founded on? Funny how you can cling to some rights(right to arms) but dont' mind eliminating others. Besides, who says i am a democat? I'm not. I usually vote about 50/50, depending on where the candidate stand on ISSUES, not if they have a D or R or I next to thier names.
wtnhunt
Re: Clinton Unhinged Got to wonder what will be next after Hillary making her comments yesterday. Thing that keeps coming back to mind here for me is that Clinton blatantly lied under oath, why would he tell the truth about anything now? His wife is pretty dad gum weak or just plain screwy in my opinion to put up with his crap, but then again maybe she has just used him all along to get her power. Guess to her power is more important than having a husband who is faithful

slugshooter
Re: Clinton Unhinged Wellll, I know ya'll have probably been dying to see what I post in here, I've just wanted to wait until there were a few more responses. I thought about posting when I first heard of this story, but figured I'd wait until someone else did. We discussed this issue in my Public Admin class Monday, and here is basically the gist of the discussion. I have come to the conclusion, that when you are the President of the United States, you are danged if you do, and danged if you don't. Not one single person on this forum, was in the Oval Office once during the Clinton years, and likewise, not one single person has been in the Oval Office during the Bush years. I find it oddly interesting that so many people know exactly what Clinton did regarding Bin Laden, and so many people know exactly what Bush is doing regarding Bin Laden also. The truth is, the only ones who do know, are Clinton and his National Security team. Like every President, Clinton took an oath of office to defend the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic. But because he didn't launch a full scale invasion, he obviously didn't do anything. Bush launched a full scale invasion, and we are no closer to catching Bin Laden than we were a little less than 5 years ago, and the Taliban, who were so soundly defeated in a month or so, are regaining strength in Afghanistan because our focus is in Iraq, and this new intelligence briefing that was just declassified proves that focusing so much time, energy, and resources into Iraq has caused us to fail in other areas. Some say that we haven't been attacked since 9/11 because of Bush. Well, is that really true? We still haven't caught who was mailing Anthrax, this E-Coli outbreak could be something to look into, just because a plane hasn't been flown into a building, doesn't mean we haven't been attacked. And tell the soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan that we aren't being attacked, because they are, everyday, and to me, an attack on US soldiers or on a US Installation, constitutes an attack on us. Getting back to my main point. Clinton made a very good point when he said that the very people who are attacking him now for not killing Bin Laden when he was in office, would have attacked him if he had killed him while he was in office. If Clinton had taken out Bin Laden while in office, all of you know darn good and well, that the conservative right would have labeled him a warmonger and a murderer and accused him of trying to cover something up, but since he didn't do it, he's labeled weak and responsible for 9/11. Lets face it, 9/11 would have happened even with Bin Laden dead, because the plans had already been in motion, and if you think that Bin Laden was the only leader who knew of the plans and how to carry them out, well, I've got some ocean front property in Arizona for ya. The bottom line is this, and this is the most important point I am about to make. If the election weren't a little over a month away, this story would have never happened. The Democrats want back control of Congress, and the Republicans want to keep control. All this is, is the political game, nothing more. I likened it a little to pro wrestling today while I was thinking about it. While these politicians are on TV, they bicker and argue, talk bad about each other, so on and so on, then when the camera's off, they get together at each others house and have a drink. So why don't we all just stop taking this so seriously and enjoy it for the entertainment that it is, because there are worse things to worry about than this. And one more thing, and I will lay down money on this. If the Democrats take back control of Congress in November, George Bush will be impeached. vagobbln
Re: Clinton Unhinged All this additional discussion about George Bush is fine and good, but my original post was about Bill Clinton and the Fox interview. Can anybody who has seen that interview honestly say, based on the way he reacted to that question, that he was telling the truth? I just thought his answers and mannerisms were very telling and he looked extremely uncomfortable being caught with his pants down on this issue (Oops, bad choice of words I guess). That was my point.

Really is sad to see how some Americans still believe that this liar, thief, and cheat was a great president. One thing no one can deny, he cut our military pretty deep which as we are seeing now was a huge mistake. Clinton made a mockery of the highest office in this country with his lack of discretion and inability to tell the truth about anything when questioned. Personally I am sick of the Clintons and wish they would just go away, far far away.

And, before you get your panties in a wad and think I'm directing that comment toward you, I'm not. Some of the things Clinton did while in office cause me not to believe him even he had answered that question with a smile on his face. Furthermore, "repeatedly accused and attacked"? Except by the 9/11 commission, I don't think he's ever been asked that question directly.
