Reagan was a peacetime president. Bush 1 was a peace time president (for the most part). He lied about that too. That was in the days when he was going to cut government in half. They should be executed after a trial(If they are found guilty). Now, if they wanna tape that, and send it to CNN or whatever they have over there, to show em we mean business, so be it. I feel Bush's heart is in the right direction(had he just said "We need to get rid of Saddam because he is a ruthless dictator who murders his own people" I would have been all for the reasoning behind the war). But I think someone told him he needed to make the WMD connection(which is dumb because they had all the time in the world to hide em and send em to Syria). Far from it. These people shot a nun in the back because of what the pope SAID. These people rioted in the streets because of a CARTOON. These people flew airplanes into buildings just to kill people. They blow up fellow muslims....women/children for their "cause on a daily basis. They blow up trains, buses, mosks. They kill totally innocent people everyday and you say that it's the same as street violence? Then THEY turn around and claim that THEY are the victims. The hypocrisy is stunning. Their stated goal is to kill all non believers. Thats their lifes ambition. We helped muslims in Bosnia, we helped them in Afghanistan against Russia, We helped them in the first gulf war and all they care about is whether we're believers. We helped them and WE are the devil. I don't see jews bombing night clubs, I don't see catholics flying planes into buildings, I don't see any other religious group constantly killing people they disagree with. As far as their rights go, well I just don't care. I'm not interested in being nice, nor am I interested at understanding them. This is a war and we need to treat it as such. It's a sad cruel fact but it is a fact these people need to be treated ruthlessly and without pity until the good Muslims grow the stones to defend themselves. Then we can leave and the debate can go back to logging or abortion or school lunch or the snail darter or the spotted friggin owl or those other boring mundane topics that we thought were so very important in the 90's. Secondly as far as that goes, murderers, rapists and the like once convicted guilty beyond a reasonable doubt should be eliminated therefore leaving them only the rights to meet the ultimate judge, forfeiting any rights of civilized american citizens. Back on to Clinton, he has been the biggest liar of any president this country has ever seen. Clinton used his position, abused his powers for personal gains and or satisfaction, and continues to be leaching off the American taxpayers at a rate probably exceeding that of any president in our history. [/ QUOTE ] I do agree with part of this, but the part I do not agree with is that the crusaders did not murder their own people as an example or because they were not willing to commit suicide under pretenses such as the muslims terrorists are, at least not from what I remember of the world history I learned. The radical terrorist are under the assumption that they commit suicide and kill others in the process they will be martyrs and will receive this great life after death from allah. I think those who are to the extremist side of the muslim religion are more radical than the crusaders were, but that is just my opinion, and yes you are right it is very scary.
