centralsaskhunter
I got a dozen easton arrows for deer hunting. I also got a dozen carboneXpress arrows. I shot all of them and took the best three of each. I replaced all of the origional arrows, and one of the replacement eastons.... I had no problems with the fletching on the CE's, but it just keeps coming of the eastons. Does anyonehave any similar experiances with other arrows, cause im not going to use Eastons any more. Thanks
archerjg
Re: Fletching problems on Easton arrows I have never had a problem with easton arrows and fletchings. Were the fletchings loose at the front or were they completely glued down? Did you have the arrows custom fletched? Archerjg
centralsaskhunter
Re: Fletching problems on Easton arrows They were fletched when I bought them. After 15-20 rounds, they would do this. Some later, some sooner.
archerjg
Re: Fletching problems on Easton arrows Were they factory fletched or custom fletched? If they were factory fletched I would contact Easton and talk to them. If they were custom talk to the shop that fletched them. 15 to 20 shots should not have the fletchings coming off unless they were being hit with other arrows or run into the ground. Good luck this season. Archerjg
VermontHunter
Re: Fletching problems on Easton arrows Definately sounds like a poor fletching job...... Not a problem with the Easton shafts..... I've had factory fletchings tear right off from one shot ,, It happens..
centralsaskhunter
Re: Fletching problems on Easton arrows They were factory fletched. They didn't hit the ground either. Some of the other arrows Ive shot have had them fletching come off, but after a summer and a half of shooting, not a short afternoon. AdvantageTimberLou
Re: Fletching problems on Easton arrows Call Easton, they have awesome customer service. Please call them as they will address the issue as you may have gotten some bad ones. I have shot Eastons all my life and in the past year I have had to call them and they solved my problem and at no cost to me. Got new arrows and have been very happy with them. Please call them, they can help you.
magnatecsteve
Re: Fletching problems on Easton arrows The new Easton EPIC shafts have a smoother finish on them. The local pro shop owner recommends using fine grit sandpaper to the area being fletched first before fletching them. He had problems with them the first few batches of the new shafts, but since he has been doing that, no problems..and he is VERY experienced, he makes arrows for a couple of Hoyt pro staff shooters. centralsaskhunter
Re: Fletching problems on Easton arrows I'll try giving them a call, but I threw out the ones that have caused me trouble... either that or used them for rabbits after I fixed them up with crazy glue. lol.
