Turkeygirl
So since shooting my new Rintec XL, I've been shooting off the string with a crimped nock and a cushion/eliminator button between the arrow and release. I seem to be shooting fine this way and am comfortable. On my old bow I was using an aluminum Ultra-Nok XL on it and shot fine. Tried it on the new bow but took it off because of draw length issues(before the shop guy found Hoyt hadn't adjusted the cams properly. So I'm used to shooting off the string and I am thinking of sticking to it for the season. My arrow hasn't come of the string when letting down as some told me on other boards that happens when shooting off the string. I just wanted to hear your opinions/ thoughts though? Would I be better putting the ultra-nok XL back on(which it seems everyone hates by the way) or stick to the string? How many on here use a loop or shoot off the string? Nick
Re: String or loop? Loop!! Theres ALOt less wear on your string, eliminates the release pinching your knock, and creates the main force from the string being released to come from directly behind the arrow instead of underneath. magnatecsteve
Re: String or loop? A loop puts your release directly behind the arrow, providing a more stable arrow upon release, plus a loop greatly reduces string and serving wear.
