Choke tubes and patterns.

Well tonight I went out to pattern my 12 ga. with some loads I had left over from last season and was pleased with most of the results.

Out to 30 yards I maintained nice dense and evenly distributed patterns with #2, BB and T.

But when I moved back to 40 yards the patterns were still ok but I would like to see something better. I was shooting Winchester xpert Hi-velocity loads, so I am thinking about trying a slower heavier load like the remington sportsman with I believe 1 3/8 ounce.

My question is since my gun only came with one choke (modified) I am thinking about buying an aftermarket tube that will produce tight patterns at about 40 yards with standard steel goose loads #1-BBB. I also plan on buying a basic factory IC ($13) becuase most of my duck hunting is fairly close.

Does anyone have any experience with after market choke tubes at these distances with these loads?
