I have a big interview too!

The company I use to run in Pryor wants me back. We've met a couple of times but this evening is the final "Is it going to happen?" meeting. Im asking for 7K more then they offered. I dont think its that big of a deal but it will make me their highest payed employee, by a decent margin.

Hopefully they wont scoff. I would love to have my old job back but they've offered me no raise from my current income. On the other hand I would have insurance and a 30 minute less drive (each way, a total of an hour). I guess that could be considered income.

It would no longer cost me about $15 a day for gas, more like $5. There are a lot of perks here so hopefully they are planning on bending a little. Everyone keep your fingers crossed and if your a prayer, throw my name around too. I will know pretty much everything by about 6:00 tonight.

Detailing (AutoCad and MBS) for commercial applications and currently im doing some Construction management. I do a lot of Mini-storages, strip centers, clear spans, etc... In my new (old) job I will be in charge of Engineering and the detailing for a metal building manufacturer. I ran that very business for 5 years before the guy sold it. I jumped ship just before they signed the contract, now they want me back.

Here's the scoop gang. I took the job. They are going to hire me in at my current salary. After three months I am considered permanent, which I work salary so thats really just a statue they put on all of their employees and they didnt want to single me out. Im not going through a temp agency or anything. After 90 days I get insurance and a $3,000 a year raise. If in another 90 days I am still holding my weight I get another $3,000. I am eligible for another raise in 1-year. I also walk in with 1-week vacation and I get another week in 6 months. I will officially be the head of the detailing/ engineering dept. Ill be taking over my old position 100%. Everything looks great.

They are suppose to fax the agreement over to the house. I told them if they would put everything in black and white I would take the job.

Here's the only downside. I will be elbow deep all day. I will have to switch most, if not all, of my online activity to evenings. That stinks because I love being in here all day but duty calls. As of this Friday I will have only two weeks to soak up as much of the place as I can.... grin.gif
