MUDRUNNER
Re: \"Treestandbowhunter offical 2006/7 NHL thread\" The Canucks beat the Blues in OT last night 3-2.I watched the first period and the Blues were pitifull...2 shots on goal in the first. Boston definately didn't do themselves any favors at the trade deadline. They'll really have to battle to get a playoff spot.
VermontHunter
Re: \"Treestandbowhunter offical 2006/7 NHL thread\" Well Boston squeaked a win out of Washinton last night but it wasn't by any means a prety one.... But at this stage in the game we'll take every win we can get.... But for abit of halarious humour .... I got this in a email from a forum member( won't mention any names... ).. and thought it was perfect.... F = fahrenheit C = celcius The Official Canadian Temperature Conversion Chart 50 F = 10 C Californians shiver uncontrollably. Canadians plant gardens. 35 F = 1.6 C Italian cars won't start. Canadians drive with the windows down. 32 F = 0 C American water freezes. Canadian water gets thicker. 0 F = minus 17.9 C New York City landlords finally turn on the heat. Canadians have the last cookout of the season. minus 60 F = minus 51 C Mt. St. Helen's freezes. Canadian Girl Guides sell cookies door-to-door. minus 100 F = minus 73 C Santa Claus abandons the North Pole. Canadians pull down their ear flaps. minus 173 F = minus 114 C Ethyl alcohol freezes. Canadians get frustrated when they can't thaw their keg of home brew. minus 460 F = minus 273 C Absolute zero .. all atomic motion stops. Canadians start saying "Cold, eh?" minus 500 F = minus 295 C **** freezes over. The Toronto Maple Leafs win the Stanley Cup.
VermontHunter
Re: \"Treestandbowhunter offical 2006/7 NHL thread\" OH BOY !! Did Boston have their butt's handed to them by the Rangers last night ... 7-0 Shut out..... Looks like the B's will miss the playoffs yet again.... There's still an outside chance they could make it, but they would have to go 8-2-1 in the remaining games and I just don't see that happening against some great teams... Muff
Re: \"Treestandbowhunter offical 2006/7 NHL thread\" The Sens won a close one...the Flyers have came to life just to late in the season.

MUDRUNNER
Re: \"Treestandbowhunter offical 2006/7 NHL thread\" Blues lost to the Sens last night 4-2 in one of the worst officiated games I've seen in a while...old Mick Magoo was aweful! The Blues scored a goal that was actually kicked in the net,but they didn't review it and it counted. Then, the Blues score a goal, the lamp never lit and the horn never sounded and the play was whistled dead.No review and they drop the puck for the face off....15 seconds later they stop play to review it and find out it is a goal, but in the rules it says once play resumes a goal cannot be counted. In every replay you can clearly see the puck clearly cross the line so I don't know what the refs saw. Then,in the end of the third, the Blues put the puck on net and Gerber makes the save for the Sens, but never has control of the puck and it trickles through him and over the line at the same time Magoo blows the play dead,so guess what...he waves off the goal. Why in the world would you blow the play dead if the puck is still live?!These guys were absolutely pitifull last night! MUDRUNNER
Re: \"Treestandbowhunter offical 2006/7 NHL thread\" Not taking nothing away from the Sens...they played decent, and the Blues power play was 0 for 7 and gave up 2 shorties. It just stinks that so many blown calls was the deciding factor in the game. They would have to win the rest of their games and the habs would have to loose every game...not going to happen

VermontHunter
Re: \"Treestandbowhunter offical 2006/7 NHL thread\" Well,, the Bruins stayed true to thier usual loosing antics... They were taking it it to the Habs pretty good in the first and second period and it was like that light switched got flipped to OFF again... and forgot how to play hockey ... Like I said NO payoffs for the B's this year...

[/ QUOTE ] Booguard is a big ole' boy.I thought they said he was like 6'7" and goes 270.A definate size advantage over D.J.,but he was holding his own.I'm with you...it looked like they broke it up right as Booguard was wearing out and I think D.J could have got a few good shots in on him. Pretty weak effort by the rest of the Blues in a 5-1 loss to the Wild.I don't know how Eric Brewer gets so much ice time,he's not strong on D at all.Last night he was on the ice for 4 of the five Wild goals, and the reason he wasn't on the other is because he flipped the puck over the glass on the pk and got a penalty so he was in the box. This guy needs to go,he doesn't get the puck out of the zone,he doesn't get the puck in deep, and just looks bad all the time.
