Guest Yooper
Well before anyone gets the wrong idea on this one I should say that no my new stand has not been stolen....yet. I put it up Monday on state land again because I couldn't find any private land to hunt. This time I used 4 locks. I put one on each climbing stick to lock them together and then put the chain around the tree and locked that to my last stick so if anyone wants it this year they will have a fun time getting it out.......Can't wait to get some meat in the freezer starting this Sunday. AdvantageTimberLou
Re: Stolen Stand 2 Welcome to the forums, I hope your stand is safe, my buddy lost his to a chainsaw, guy cut the tree down, shimmy'd the stand off. So no matter what lock you use, a scumbag thief will try to get it. Bolt cutters you name it, a scumbag is a scumbag and knows nothing but trying to skate through life being a thief! I hope yours is there and good luck on Sunday, where abouts in the thumb are you hunting? I am hunting up in Twining in Arenac County. buffett1
Re: Stolen Stand 2 That should at least take a thief a little longer to figure out. I hope it stays put.

Guest Yooper
Re: Stolen Stand 2 I'm in Cass City hunting in Tuscola County. Wish I was back at home in the U.P. though. I moved down here last year for a job so hopefully in a few years I can get back up there.
Guest OhioHunt
Re: Stolen Stand 2 Good luck with the stand. I have had 4 stolen from me and my dad has had 3 stolen. All of them had heavy duty chains and locks on them. So I know the crappy feeling for sure. Luckily it finally looks like we found a place where we don't have to worry about it so much anymore. So I hope everything works out for you and you fill that freezer.

ny_gun
Re: Stolen Stand 2 Unfortunately like a few other people have mentioned if someone really wants it they will find a way to take it. Locks only keep honest people honest. They do little to stop a thief!
