i have never broken a Goldtip just by hitting a target. it either had a weak spot there or something hard is in your target.

glad your ok and it didnt break when you shot it.

Yup, i agree with Tony. Ive driven GT's into old barn wood and they lived. Something was wrong with that arrow or something hard in the target. You better check the rest to be sure theyre ok (do the roll test)

I wasn't downing ya. Heck I blew one up Sunday when I hit a tree. All that was left was the Wrap and fletchings. Intact I might add.

Re: Broke Carbon Arrow

Contact Easton and they should replace it,,,,,,They had a bad batch of Axis shafts slip through production a year or so ago,,,Those in the bad batch would break just where you described............

[/ QUOTE ]

WE contacted Easton about that and they never ever responded to us ... thus the reason we will never ever buy Axis arrows again ... they broke in that exact spot on all but 2 of them ...

Re: Broke Carbon Arrow

I have broken 2.

Once by hitting a 3D deer target that was on a slope (and shakey) and the whole target fell and snapped the arrow off.

The last 1 I broke was sticking about 12" (33" total with broadhead) out of the side/back of a big doe and when she hit the sapplings it snapped off at the hide.

1st was a Beaman ICS 400 and the last one was a GT 3555.
