Bownarow
I was shooting last night and one of my practice tips had come unscrewed while in my quiver. It sounded funny when it went into the bag so I checked it out when I pulled it out. At first I thought the end had snapped off, but I compared it to the others and it was the same length. The arrow still penetrated the bag almost as well as the ones with tips on them, it just hit about 6 inches higher. Moral of the story, if you ever have to shoot at deer w/o a tip.....Aim low!! Jeramie
Re: FYI-Arrows w/o tips hit high Ummm.... That not good on bow Kemosabe. Now take the time to put a little Teflon tape around the threads of the points. They wont come loose again until you want them too. Trust me, it works like a charm. struttinhoyt
Re: FYI-Arrows w/o tips hit high Yea......thats not a good thing to do...... It would be real hard on your bow........and dont think that would leave much for a blood trail......

[/ QUOTE ] Seriously, try the teflon. I knew about it for years before I finally put the 10-seconds it took to tape them. Im kicking myself now. I havent had to tighten a single head after that.
