Tom2008
I just seen this on the AT forum and thought I would share. "This Elk was killed with a bow in the Selway-Bitterroot Wilderness. He green scored 575" and should net out at about 530" non typical. He has and unbelievable outside spread of 79". This is the biggest bull ever taken with any weapon."

Show the rest of us your Facts please. From what is in the Picture, Great Bull ELK!!!! Until I see Other wise, Congrats to the Hunters in the Photo. I wish people could try & see the Good in others until the facts prove other wise. To Me "Big Bull Elk" until proven other wise. Someone puts up a post & someone else says "Thats Fake" Now its fake until some else agrees with the original poster? It is getting like the "gistopo" / %&$ We THINK your Guilty, You Have to PROVE your INNOCENT!!! WHAT A BUNCH OF COW DUNG!!!! We just had this Lesson last month, with a very regular poster getting himself in up to his neck!!! Busted because someone wanted to send flowers. I'm sure there are better Photo Shop Programs than what I have, but if it is Photo Shopped then they did a good job. I tried to enhance it & couldn't come close. [/ QUOTE ] Dont come on here and bad mouth me. If you want to read through a bunch of posts on Archery Talk about it here are 6 pages on what other people think and a couple more pictures of a guy holding the bleached skull. For what I can see the guys in the pictures are photo-shopped. You can have your own opinion I don't care, but don't just start bad mouthing me right off the bat. Just found out that B&C has some information on it too. They are not saying it is fake, but that is still not proven. They are not even sure on where it was shot yet even. " Email Overload September 29, 2006 This photo is circulating the internet at World's Record pace. The text accompanying the photo states that it was taken in the Selway Wilderness in Idaho with a bow and scores somewhere between 530-575. B&C is reserving judgment on this bull. If this bull were, in fact, taken as a natural, free-ranging, wild, native elk from the Selway region of Idaho, it would be approximately 130-150 inches bigger than any elk ever recorded from that region. UPDATE: Some sources (not yet verified) are pointing to a canned hunting facility in Quebec as the location of this bull, rather than a free-ranging elk in Idaho." http://www.archerytalk.com/vb/showthread.php?t=389891&page=
vagobbln
Re: New World Record Bull Elk! I'm no expert but I gotta get Tom's back on this one. It looks photoshopped. Actually the size of the elk isn't what looks manipulated to me. It's the hunters and the antler on the right side of the pic that just don't look right against the background. It's like the hunters and the elk were dropped into that background. That's what makes me go, Hmmm? If it's legit (and I hope it is) why would you do that (unless you had to crop the high fence out of the background). Just MHO.
M00N
Re: New World Record Bull Elk! Yeah, I have to back Tom up here. There is no need to bash on him for just stating something posted on B&C Trophy Watch. It's been on B&C Trophy Watch now for several days and even they are questioning this bull's eligibility. They're not questioning that a guy didn't in fact shoot a bull this caliber, just that where it was shot. A lot of the information is pointing towards a high-fenced hunt in Quebec, which would make this bull not qualified for the Record Books. There is also a lot of information pointing to someone cutting the bull and hunters out from their high-fenced background and placed them in a free-range background to try to make it appear it wasn't shot in a high-fenced area. That sounds believable to me for someone to do this. The amount of money a bull this big that would qualify for the next World Records is pleanty to make people stoop to these levels. Plus when you have B&C Trophy Watch questioning it, it will make others question it because normally these places know of any World Records that are on their waiting periods right away and they won't question things like this unless they have legitimate doubts. If you would have put the info from your last posted with YOUR 1st post with the accuzations on how liget the Bull was, I could of cared less, at least we would have know what you based Your info on. I didn't read all the other web cites. a bunch of posts on Archery Talk I don't know if everyone that replied to this post did either, Please don't assume I/We All have. The pics you refer to were no where to be seen or even the links. There is no need to bash on him for just stating something posted on B&C Trophy Watch. You can say anything you want in this Forum, As long as it agrees with the Good Ole Boys Club It Seems. This is what I asked for "Post the link to the onfo you have. You Say it is fake & walk away. Show the rest of us your Facts please." Read your own post from the view of someone that doesn't surf hunting cites all day. Share your sources is what I was asking for. Texan_Til_I_Die
Re: New World Record Bull Elk! I definitely think it was raised on a game farm. I wonder what the conditions were when it died? Was it shot in a pen? Released into a larger enclosure and then shot? Heck, for all I know it may have died naturally and those guys just posed with it!
