Re: Win model 94 help

Had one of those mounts, called a quik-mount I think. Uncle Mikes probably makes one. It uses existing screw holes in the left side of the receiver which you must save if you remove the mount! They supply you with longer ones for the mount. It offsets the scope to the left side and also the scope needs turned 1/4 turn to the left so the cartridges will clear the adj. knob. This will change your adj. directions. Just follow the 1/4 turn to the left and you will know that up=left, down=right, left=down, and right=up. Don't let the offset to the left worry you because if it is zeroed at say 50 yds., the point of impact in relation to the line of site will only be the distance it is mounted to the left at 100 yds. Any questions? Feel free to pm me,,,,,,Terry.

Re: Win model 94 help

Just FYI - I have this setup on my top eject Win 94 and it works great. You do need to take your time and think it through when making point of impact adjustments. But it's a tack driver out to 120 yards - I love that gun!

I have decided to go "old school" on this gun and remove the scope, replacing it with a Lyman tang mounted peep sight. Just haven't had time yet, and it's getting to the point where it's so close to rifle season I may wait until next year.
