Swamphunter
I have a nice set-up for archery this year that I am pretty sure will be productive. Does anyone other than me hang a trail cam in front of their stand so they can see what is passing through? If so, have you ever go the sickening feeling when you checked the card the day after you missed a hunt??
preacherman
Re: Does anyone do this? I did that a few years ago and did see some large deer roaming around in front of my stand........a yes, most indeed, they would wait until the day I decided not to hunt! wtnhunt
Re: Does anyone do this? My cams are not at my stands, but I can see them from a couple of stands that I rifle hunt. Yes, I have had that sick feeling seeing deer that went through on days I missed a few times.
RangerClay
Re: Does anyone do this? I set up my trail cam in other locations to see if I am missing something elsewhere. The deer movement can change from year to year. The grass can be greener on the other side of the oak ridge.

Guest HaDeRonDa
Re: Does anyone do this? I just brought mine back in from the woods. I Put it out Sunday afternoon and I just had to retreive it today as I passed by. Yesterday a turk passed by. I'll put it out again tomorrow morning before work and leave it until Friday, pending I am disciplined enough. GW, I pruned the tree out some more tonight in the back corner of the corn field. What a great rifle stand that is going to be. Well, bow as well but with a rifle once in the tree you can shoot almost the entire back field!!! Nice huh? I'm probably going to put a lock on stand at that location due to the trees wonderful "curves". LOL
boonencricket
Re: Does anyone do this? I have my trail cameras in front of my stands. I also take my homebrew Video setup and try and capture my hunt. I took it behind the house the other night and got a little bit of footage of these 2 does and 2 little guys. http://www.huntingfootage.com/showphoto.php?photo=3033&limit=recent
fenderhunt4
Re: Does anyone do this? I've got one set up by one of my stands now. It lets me know what's been there when I wasn't!
GWSmith
Re: Does anyone do this? Harry, I think that spot will produce but I would definitely keep an eye peeled to the left along that steep-dropoff where the trail runs along the top Looking forward to seeing the Trailcam Pic's as well I may get a trailcam someday but I'm paranoid about them stealing it...and they know who they are
