What grain weight? Why?

I shoot 75 grain wasp hammer sst.

Heres why...

1. My dad has won the Georgia State title with it two years in a row.

2. Ive shot several different heads and few will group even close to it.

3. for a 75 grain head it has a big cutting dia. (1 1/8) inch cut.

4. A lighter head will produce more velocity than a heavier head resulting in less arrow drop ( using the same weight shaft).

Re: What broadhead do you shoot?

I have switched to 100g G5 Tekans this year.

I have always liked mech heads and like this design and have heard nothing but rave reviews on them.

They looks cool n real mean.

I tested them and they grouped better then my field points if that possible plus they opened on a single piece of printer paper.

Re: What broadhead do you shoot?

This is absolutely the biggest critter I've ever stuck with an arrow. I was using a G5 Montec. This Kudu weighed well over 600lbs. As far as I'm concerned that head is good for deer to elk smile.gif

For deer sized game I also like Rocket Sidewinders. They make a BIG hole. Gonna try some Stricknines next.
