Tony
this is an excellant way to develope strength in your shot. this is also good practice for that possible hunting situation that makes you draw a little early but then have to hold due to no shot yet. but beware that it could make you want to punch the trigger to make the shot go off after holding that long. as long as you dont punch the trigger then this is a great way to practice . for hunting i do this quite a lot but for my competition shooting i want my shots to go off in my normal shot sequence , for me thats about every 12 seconds. Tominator
Re: Holding the shot... awwww, you should've saved that one for your "tip of the week." that's a good idea. never thought to do that. it's a good idea though. guaranteed at least one time this year you'll get caught and have to hold for an eternity. Jeramie
Re: Holding the shot... When I bought my McPherson I hadn't thought about how important an issue that was. Luckily it came with 87% letoff. It is easy to hold back for a long period of time. Once you're at full draw you can hold it back with a pinkie. When I switch bows again I will probably have some bad form until I get use to a little less letoff.
