The_Kat
Re: Draw weight I'd shoot 40lbs at first. However much you max out on, subtract at least ten pounds for hunting....trust me that fifty pounds turns to about 60 when that big buck steps out. I couldn't draw on my first deer because of my nerves....

The_Kat
Re: Draw weight I wouldn't suggest it if you've never been shown how to do so before. But if you wish to try it anyways simply get an allen wrench and back each limb off the same exact amount of turns each. Theres no way to check your draw weight unless you have a hooked scale.....make sure you turn each limb the exact same, otherwise you will have your balance all messed up. I would recommend watching someone do it first.....

The_Kat
Re: Draw weight What kinda bow you shooting? It could be a regular screw too, mines an allen wrench. Look where the limbs set on the riser.

Shaun_300
Re: Draw weight Yeah I'd say 40lbs is a good place to start, that'll kill a deer no prob, then just work slowly up from that.
Guest buckmaster2010
Re: Draw weight i can draw 50 back but by the time i get it back the deer would be gone and id fall out the tree stand backards
