HarvDog
For those that video their hunts themselves, where have you found is the best place to hang your camera arm? To the side (left or right) of your stand Above your stand Below your stand

Texan_Til_I_Die
Re: Video camera position I video a lot, but the only time I've videoed myself shooting a deer was last year during rifle season. I was in a box blind and I clamped my camera to the right side of the window I shot out of. I chose that side because it set up best for capturing the shot. BTW - A 7 mag on a 90 lb doe at 30 yards is pretty spectacular!
smallmunster
Re: Video camera position Upwind if possible. The smoke from a muzzleloader or even a shotgun will drift in front of the lens. With a modern firearm it isn't much but it can be noticeable in some situations.
toddyboman
Re: Video camera position I usually have mine on my right side. Its seems to be easier for me to operate camera that way. I also generally set it up at about waist high while Im standing that way I can kinda bump it over if I need to while I have my bow in hand. GoodLuck!!! billkay
Re: Video camera position Mine is usually on the right side and above me while sitting. On this side I can use the flip out screen and look down at it while standing to shoot. Also leaves it in position to be moved with an elbow or other extremity. Guest TBryan
Re: Video camera position I put mine on the right side so that i can hold my bow with my left. that way i can put it in the right position the clamp my release and shoot with out having to switch hands.
