NEbuck
I will be hunting elk in colorados 1st season in the high country of the Rio Grande NF near Del Norte CO. The problem is I can get the forcast for Del Norte which is in the valley, but I cant figure out how to get a forcast for the high country. Anyone know where to go to get info on weather in backcountry areas. Thanks Justin
Tecumseh
Re: Mountain weather I don't know if any ski resorts are in that area? That would be a place to start.Call the Rio Grande NF headquarters and see if they can help you out.I've hunted Colorado and have waken up to snow a few times in mid September,Just be ready for any weather changes. stevebeilgard
Re: Mountain weather there are no high country forcasts. expect snow, cold nights, and 40 degree days. and good elk hunting...
