Rub Lines?

Re: Rub Lines?

This time of year the big bucks will do all of their rubbing and scraping in the dark, unless the moon phase influences them to move during daylight hours. I am a firm believer that it is a mistake to start hunting rub lines too early because you can burn them out with human traffic and scent. I just wait until they start looking for fights and hot does during the day.

Re: Rub Lines?

I have one I found right next to an old community scrape thats there every year. I went to hang my trail cam behind the scrape and saw where a few small birches were all hooked up on the back side of them and some on the side.

Its a typical area that gets rubbed every year. Just so happens my new food plot is right along this tree strip. LOL

Oh and my ground blind too.

Hmm... go figure...

Re: Rub Lines?

the first time my buddy came out to one of the properties i hunt he goes " wow your bucks are crazy!" because virtually there is this grass patch that has small saplings and some older saplings along with some willow trees and the bucks just tear them apart...all differant bucks too...they really get aggressivew with the rubbing, but not as aggressive with scrapes...im almost ready to get exctied..lol
