123 4/8 P&Y
Re: Rub Lines? I think those early season rubs are made around 11:30pm to 3:30am. It will probably be a while before the good daylight pre-rut activity starts.

wtnhunt
Re: Rub Lines? Have not really been looking for rubs here, and have not noticed any yet, but obviously there have to be some out there as all the velvet here seems to be gone now. Have seen a few small scrapes though, one about a hundred and twenty yards behind the house.
123 4/8 P&Y
Re: Rub Lines? This time of year the big bucks will do all of their rubbing and scraping in the dark, unless the moon phase influences them to move during daylight hours. I am a firm believer that it is a mistake to start hunting rub lines too early because you can burn them out with human traffic and scent. I just wait until they start looking for fights and hot does during the day.
VTbowman
Re: Rub Lines? I have one I found right next to an old community scrape thats there every year. I went to hang my trail cam behind the scrape and saw where a few small birches were all hooked up on the back side of them and some on the side. Its a typical area that gets rubbed every year. Just so happens my new food plot is right along this tree strip. LOL Oh and my ground blind too. Hmm... go figure...
